John joined Propylon in 2005 and served as Chief Operations Officer for a number of years before his appointment as CEO. John has successfully led product and project development to establish Propylon as a global market leader. John is a director of the company and sits on the board.
Before joining Propylon, John worked in the telecoms industry delivering global revenue generation and billing platforms across a number of telecoms operators in the US and Europe. He holds an honors degree in business information technology from Trinity College Dublin.
Paul McKeon is an experienced entrepreneur, and founder and Chairman of Propylon. Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and worked in a number of roles in Corporate Finance before becoming CEO of Propylon in 2000. Paul was appointed Chairman of Propylon in 2012.
Paul is also currently Chairman of WhatClinic and was previously a Director of Swrve, AMCS Group and Newbay Software Limited. Paul is a founder and Director of Mianach Venture Capital. He is also involved in a number of businesses in the healthcare sector in both an executive and non-executive capacity.
Dan joined Propylon in 2015 as COO bringing over 20 years’ experience in technical, operational, sales and commercial management. He has a strong international experience in a global, hi-tech environment with a track record in successfully establishing, scaling and internationalizing business. In the 10 years prior to joining Propylon as COO, Dan was responsible for delivering regulatory compliance software for Fenergo and Norkom in a number of client-focused roles.
Dan holds an Honours business degree from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in computer science from Queens University Belfast.
Sean is co-founder and CTO of Propylon. He has almost 30 years of experience in the IT industry, most of it in the legal and regulatory publishing space. He holds a first-class Honors degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin. He served as an invited expert to the W3C special interest group that created the XML standard in 1996. He is the author of three books on markup languages published by Prentice Hall. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and contributor to the trade press. Tom joined Propylon as a board director in January 2018 to support our growth and strategy direction. Tom was the co-founder and CEO of Granicus for 16 years; prior to this, he was a member of the premier Internet development group, Anderson Consulting (now Accenture), and performed Internet strategy and development work for various companies including, E-Trade and the United States Post Office.
He is also a board member of Ascendify and a certified teacher for the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMCC), having previously served as member of the MCEF Board of Directors, which supports scholarships and education for municipal clerks.
