Propylon to Support NCSL Staff Section Seminars

Propylon, the world leader in legislative software and services, today announced its participation this fall in three professional development events of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL). NCSL is a bipartisan organization serving the legislators and staffs of America’s 50 states, its commonwealths and territories.

NCSL serves legislative staff from twelve different professional disciplines. These staff organizations host annual seminars, at which member staffers receive continuing education, development, and networking opportunities. “We believe that a legislature’s staff is the engine that powers the machine,” said Clyde Hatter, Propylon’s VP of Legislative Solutions. “From year to year, these are the personnel that drive the legislative process, and Propylon welcomes any opportunity to learn from their expertise, and participate in dialogue about improving legislative business.”

Propylon is serving as a sponsor to several NCSL staff groups: the National Association of Legislative Information Technology (NALIT), the American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (ASLCS), and the joint seminar of the Legal Services Staff Section, the Legislative Research Librarians group, and the Research and Committee Staff Section.

The Joint Development Seminar of LSSS/RACSS/LRL is taking place this week in Santa Fe. The ASLCS Fall Meeting will be held September 12-17 in Burlington, Vermont. The NALIT Professional Development Seminar will be held September 26-30 in Springfield, Illinois.
